Three Huddersfield area hospices recently received a funding boost from the Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF). Representatives from Dalton’s Kirkwood Hospice, the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice at Bracken Hall, and Elland’s Overgate Hospice, received grants totalling over £5,000. In addition Kirklees Mencap at Lindley Huddersfield took delivery of a new 16-seater mini bus (below) with the help of a £26,000 Masons’ grant.  The photograph above shows representatives of the respective charities being presented with their cheques at a ceremony held at Greenhead Masonic Hall Huddersfield. Huddersfield District Golf Success!

August 2018 : W Bro D Wright (PPSGD) regained the District Rose Bowl after recording the best round of all competitors in the Huddersfield District and went on to qualify to compete in the Provincial Harewood Trophy competition. He also secured the cup for the best score for his handicap group. W Bro Wright had won both trophies previously but never in the same year. Here's hoping for his success to continue in the Provincial Competition.
